For Parents

How can you tell if your child may have a vision problem?

Many children do not say that they cannot see well because they have nothing to compare their visual experience with. The problem often appears indirectly through fatigue, headaches, reading difficulties or reduced concentration.

Why they may not notice it

A child has nothing to compare their vision with.

If one image is perceived more weakly or the eyes tire quickly, a child often cannot describe it accurately. The brain can adapt, but vision may still be uncomfortable.

When to book

When is it worth booking an examination?

  • if you notice any of the signs above
  • if the child struggles with reading or concentration
  • if the child has squint or a drifting eye
  • if the child often complains of eye strain
  • if there are headaches without a clear cause
  • on a doctor’s recommendation or if progressive myopia is suspected

The examination is calm, painless and easy to understand.

We adapt the examination to the child’s age. We explain the results simply, clearly and without unnecessary stress.
